Congratulations –
CJLO 1690 - Moving Forward (We're so back) (Jasper Maize)
the castle is an experimental radio music show. the experimental aspect of is isn’t the music, its the presentation of the music. many of the episodes contain a long poem relating to my personal emotional landscape, current astrology, horticulture, and global phenomenon. it is written as a release (for myself), to build (community through transparent pain and growth), and relationship (playing with the barrier of anonymity as a radio host). i’m a multidisciplinary scientist and artist, i have hosted live radio music shows since i was in kindergarten. themes: gender/sexuality; human-nature connection; astrology; antifacism, agriculture, love, friendship, local music, illness, addiction.
this episode is titled 'moving forward (we're so back)' it is the unplanned follow up of an earlier episode 'moving forward (it's so over)'. this episode was written and broadcasted just over the first warm hump of spring: working hard in the defrosting soil, reblooming after heartbreak, and accounting with mental unwellness and general malaise of the globe (genocide, ecological devastation). it is playing on the meme 'it's so over/we're so back' as i did in fact feel, so back.
this 7 minute selection is several chops of my long form poem and bites of some of the songs played. the full episode/poem/tracklist can be found here
