Deon is a volunteer radio producer at CiTR 101.9 FM in Vancouver. They currently study in the UBC-SciencesPo Dual Degree in France, but also host and produce the radio documentary show Lorem Ipsum featuring conversations, narratives, experimental-whatevers that also try to say something earnest about the human condition.

The submission is a piece for Access Day 2021 on the subject of online dating while blind. One of the founding principles of online dating revolves around profile photos, and many users base their decisions on snap optical judgements of attractiveness. But what if you can't see the person you're matching with? Deon talks with Marco Salsiccia to find out what online dating is like for him as a blind man. Marco is an accessibility expert from San Francisco.
