CJSR-FM 88.5 - Taste of Edmonton 2024 (Monica Sweeney and Harmony Handsaeme)

Prishna Sweeney is a volunteer at CJSR (since 2022) who has also worked as our Production Assistant through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Her work is consistently hilarious and creative. She also hosts a music program called Terrible Radio (but don't believe the name; it's great.)

We were asked to make two ads for the Taste Of Edmonton food festival, one announcing presale tickets, and one to air during the festival. This is the "during the festival" one.

The premise is simple: a world-devouring alien has come to our planet (Edmonton) to consume it, but is convinced by its denizens to accept a small sample instead. A... TASTE?... OF EDMONTON?

The piece uses a variety of voices and special effects, and even more importantly, a hilarious script.
